I met this little cutie last year when he was just a newborn! That first year goes by so quickly doesn’t it. Documenting this special time is really one of my favorite things to do. Helping parents freeze this moment with their baby is just the best! I always start my cake smash sessions with milestone photos. Here are a few from Ryan’s session.

I love to use this white chair as a simple backdrop that contains your little toddler and really puts all the focus on that beautiful baby face. Then we usually move onto my boho bed and room set up. These textures and fabrics really create soft images that are prefect for your little one.

Your family has also gone through changes this year. Family and/or sibling shots are always included if you want. These are great for updated family photos or just a special sibling shot.

Then we move onto the best part, the cake smash!! I keep my set up really simple and sweet. This keeps the photos timeless and classic. These images will never go out of style or look dated. I allow the baby to explore the cake, taste it if they wish and just let them be their cute adorable selves.

Lastly we end with a bath. Babies always smile for this set up. They love the familiar setting and enjoy splashing away.
